We were also able to obtain a few paintings for this exhibition which were made during her first residency at the Van Gogh House in 2017.” “Where Van Gogh chose deep ultramarine for his nocturnes, she (Ingrid Simons) chooses the much brighter cobalt blue. As if the full moon shines in a sultry summer night.
